A Vision for a Fast-Growing Riverfront Community
A rapidly growing community along Virginia’s Rappahannock River, Fredericksburg features a popular historic area and a promising downtown commercial district. Rhodeside & Harwell, working closely with prime consultant Basile, Baumann & Prost, helped develop market and visualization plans for 12 corridors leading to and including the historic area, along with a community-inspired action plan. The plan addressed public parks and access to the river, a retail promenade, compatible infill in the historic areas, and the creation of a business-friendly environment along with diverse, amenity-rich neighborhoods.
