Bringing Neighborhoods Together

Rhodeside & Harwell's award-winning plan for Old Town Manassas, Virginia, focused on strategies to enliven the historic downtown while also unifying surrounding neighborhoods, divided in part by the railroad that bisects the community. The plan addressed historic preservation, transportation, economics, civic places and streetscapes, and retail planning, including creation of a Business Improvement District. A framework for an open space system, including stream valley connections, was also included.
