Rhodeside & Harwell worked with a set of state and regional agencies and the Claymont community to develop a master plan for a 900 plus acre site. It encompasses a SEPTA train station, a former steel mill, active industrial activity, and several neighborhoods and commercial areas, all at the intersection of I-495 and I-95. The final vision for North Claymont is one of a future that contains a mix of uses in a multimodal, livable environment. It provides a framework that welcomes growth in the form of new businesses and new residents, while enhancing the environment and quality of life for the people who are already living, working, and providing jobs and amenities in the area.
