Harry S. Truman Building

Washington, DC

The US Department of State Headquarters in Washington, DC has been undergoing a major exterior security upgrade including creation of the new Museum of Diplomacy. The design focuses on creating a new streetscape that seamlessly blends perimeter security requirements into a beautiful series of public spaces for diplomats and visitors. Plantings and low impact development strategies capture and treat storm water runoff, while fostering lively pedestrian activity.
